we fell in love with Sancerre, it is probably the most attractive village that we visited, the museum is interesting and informative, whilst the views from the village, perched high on a hill, over the surrounding vineyards are a picture.

The centre is a collection of medieval buildings along narrow lanes snaking out from the central square.
